Sunflowers & Monarch

The month of February is depressing . . . little sunshine, the sidewalks and roads usually have too much snow or slush for my electric scooter to travel on and the cold bitter wind saps the battery's energy level. This particular February was worse. I had fast growing cataracts and had very blurry vision in one eye and not so great in the other. I was waiting for lens implants. I saw a colourful photo of sunflowers in the London Free Press that inspired me to paint sunflowers. Big, bold and full of sunshine. I played with the background and had fun with the rest. It chased the blues away! Yeah!
